Welcome to “Friends of The Missouri Governor’s Mansion,” formerly Missouri Mansion Preservation. We are proud of providing nearly 40 years of charitable support to the State of Missouri to preserve the history and historical treasures of The Missouri Governor’s Mansion.
We work in partnership with the State of Missouri to meet the needs of the Mansion. We preserve its history and historical treasures featured on the first floor, for all Missourians to enjoy.
Today, Governor Jeremiah “Jay” Nixon and First Lady Georganne Wheeler Nixon are honored to share this historic treasure. They are the 34th First Family to reside in Missouri’s beautiful, historic home, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
- Non-partisan, community volunteers provide over 8,500 hours to support The Missouri Governor’s Mansion annually.
- Docents serve as volunteer guides and provide education to over 70,000 visitors annually.
- A statewide Board of Directors provides leadership and governance to support the strategic initiatives and programs of FMGM.
Our supporters provide tax-deductible donations, in-kind support and volunteer hours to support one of Missouri’s historic treasures. Please contact us to see how you can get involved!
